Taylor Hobson Talysurf Profilometer / Surface Roughness Measuring Instrument

High-accuracy contact profilometer, designed to measure:
- Surface roughness (Ra, Rz, etc.)
- Form/contour geometry (e.g., radius, angles, step heights, waviness)
- 3D profiling of components

It uses a diamond-tipped stylus mounted on a precision arm, which travels across the part’s surface. As it moves, it records vertical displacements with sub-micron or nanometer sensitivity, creating a profile or surface map.

Main Functions:
Surface Finish Measurement: Quantifies roughness and texture of component surfaces using a stylus-based system.
Contour/Form Measurement: Measures and evaluates the dimensional form (such as radii, angle, and dimensions) of the surface.
Dual Capability: Simultaneously collects both surface finish and form/contour data in a single pass.
